Ash Falls 3rd Grade Field Trip!

It's CHICK TIME in First Grade!
The first graders put 24 eggs in an incubator on April 8, Candled them on April 22 to see if there were "Winners, Quitters, or Yolkers". They were EGG-cited to know there was 22 Winners and only 2 Yolkers. On April 29 they arrived to school to hear 13 chirping chicks. 3 more hatched that day. It is egg-citing earning chick time:)

Congratulations to our Wildcat Iron Man Award Winners for weight lifting. They were rewarded with a lifting shirt!

First Graders went to the Washington Pavilion on Thursday, April 25. They engaged in educational learning in a FUN way.
Most chose the CineDome movie, The Magic Globe, and the water center as their favorite activity.
The CineDome movie helped students explore the seasons in a visually stunning and engaging show. The show discussed the cause and effect of the seasons including the tilt of the Earth, the motion of the Sun and how the seasons affect ecosystems on Earth.

Come cheer on our HNS golf team as they golf in Pierce today! Go Cats!

Thank you to Thompson Solutions in Sioux City for allowing this group of students to learn about the summer job opportunities, apprenticeships, and life long careers that they have to offer! They were even kind enough to show us around the shops and get a first hand look at the machines/robots that they use on a day to day basis!
