
This Saturday December 7th, come and support the wrestling team for their first meet in Howells.


The construction ll class from Hartington Newcastle is building a shed that is 8' x 10'. It is estimated to be done by dec. 12. There is no shelving or insulation on the inside but they are willing to customize the inside based on the buyers wishes. The HNS Wildcats will kick off the season in Ponca tonight. Both JV games start at 4:45pm with Varsity Girls at 6pm.

The FCCLA Chapter will be providing babysitting during the Elementary Christmas Concert in the FCS room free of charge. Drop them off in the FCS room and enjoy the concert!

There has been a change to the bowling start time for next Tuesday, December 10th. The bowling dual vs. Bancroft-Rosalie will begin at 4:30 pm in Hartington.

Mrs. Fincher’s 2nd grade read Balloons over Broadway and created their own Macy’s Day Parade balloons! We decorated 2 pieces of foil and laminated them together to create our balloon. The kids used a straw to keep their balloon blown up. We also learned how balloons are created and held for the Macy’s Day Parade!

Our very own English teacher, Mrs Lindsay Stappert, has been selected to present at the National Council of Teachers of English Convention in Boston! We're so proud to see her dedication and expertise recognized on a national stage.


2024 Elementary Band selected from auditions across the state to perform at the Nebraska Music Educators Convention. All bands are selected based on a recorded performance sent to the NMEA. This is the 3rd time HNPS has been selected to represent the state of NE in a music competition.

Hartington Newcastle FFA member Karissa Bruning and partner Breah Steffen earned 2nd place in the Ag Demonstration event, qualifying them for the State Conference in April. Their demonstration, which taught how to properly trim and show a goat, was impressive. Congratulations to both of them!
