Announcements:

-Student Council Meeting today at 3:07 in the Commons.

-Congratulations to Abby Anderson, Alexus Hans, and Emma Wubben for receiving gold medals in their FCCLA STAR events! Emma is the state runner up in the Career Investigation Event and Alexus is the state champion in the Sports Nutrition Event. These two have qualified for the National Competition hosted in Nashville, Tennessee this summer. 

-Anyone that is interested in joining swim team this summer can pick up a registration form at the central office.

-Attention Seniors! A reminder that the Hartington Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is due today by 3:15 to Mr. Kneifl.

Also seniors, a reminder that the Newcastle Community Club Scholarship is due by the end of the day today. That too is handed in to Mr. Kneifl.

 -Sophomores a reminder to get your Career Say Session selections to Mr. Kneifl as soon as you can.

-Today the HS Choir joins JH from 11:50 AM to 12:07 PM  

-Spring Group Pictures will be taken this afternoon starting 2:00pm. Groups being taken are: District Speech, OID Championship Team, Boys Golf, JH Girls Track, HS Girls Track, JH Boys Track & HS Boys Track. Please be sure you have everything you need for these pictures!!

-Good Job Track Kids Yesterday!  The boy’s team was runner up and the girl’s team was 4th with 48.5 points! 

The following boys were medalist:

Lane Heimes: 1st pole vault, 2nd high jump, 2nd 300 hurdles

Aiden Gratzfeld: 4th pole vault

Seth Pinkelman:  6th pole vault

Kobe Heitman: 1st 100, 2nd 200, 3rd long jump

Kale Korth: 5th 110 Hurdles

Jake Peitz: 1st Shot put, 1st 200, 3rd 100

Bennet Sievers: 6th high jump, 6th triple jump

Keegan Carl: 6th 110 hurdles

Ky Rice: 5th 300 hurdles

Mayson McIntosh: 1st 300 hurdles, 4th 200

Alan, Bennet, Dalton & Seth P. - 3200 Relay 3rd

Mayson, Jake, Kale & Kobe - 400 Relay 2nd

-The Spring Blood Drive is happening on Friday, if you are interested, please sign up via QR Code found hanging up around school. You need to be at least 16 with a parent permission form which is located by the main office. Goal is to have 18 people donate this time…so please sign up. 

 

-Yearbook pre-sales have begun.  Cost is $15 for seniors and $25 for others. See a Yearbook staff member or Mrs. Pedersen to order your book.

 

-Anyone interested in taking Driver’s Ed this summer with Ron Rolfes can pick up a registration form at the central office. Classroom session is June 1,2,3,4 & 7 from 8am-noon. You must turn 14 during 2021 to be eligible. Cost is $285.00. Class size may be limited.
