-After an audition process, four HNPS students were selected for the 18th Annual Pierce honor band, Alto Sax- Cris Kneifl, Clarinet- Issac Hernandez-Santiago, Clarinet - Kora Kneifl, and Saxophone - Seanna Pinkelman (2nd Chair) were selected among students from Pierce, Osmond, Plainview, Christ Lutheran, Wayne, O'Neil, Norfolk JH, Gayville-Volin, Bloomfield, and Stanton.  Issac and Kora both made it last year.  Due to Covid they downsized the group from a 5/6th Grade band and 8th/9th Grade band to one band with 5-9th grades making it harder to be chosen.  Pierce Director, Mike Sindt, introduced the guest conductor from Scott Middle School in Lincoln, Lori Falcone.  The band performed a concert at 3:30 PM including these songs "The Skygazer Fanfare"-Standridge, "Ghost Band"-Smith, "American Heritage March"-Edmondson, "Conquest"-Schmit, and "Crazy for Cartoons."-Sheldon.
