Announcements:

-Yesterday was a great day of track for the Wildcats! JH boys finished 3rd, JH girls finished 2nd, and High School boys & girls teams took 1st! Congratulations to all of you on a job well done!!

 

-Junior high - reminder you are going to Yankton tomorrow morning. Please dress appropriately, as it will be cool in the morning by the river and wear comfortable shoes. Those that did not sign up for a school sack lunch need to bring their own lunch. Report to your first period class for attendance.

 

-There will be a meeting for all cast and crew of this year's one-act in the commons today during homeroom.  This includes the 8th graders who were involved.  We will pass out conference medals as well as the remaining state medals and have treats

 

-Any Junior or Senior that would like a second prom glass, please see Mrs. Peitz by Friday.

-Seniors, if you have not turned in your senior quote to Mrs. Peitz or Wendy by noon today, you will be added to the missing work list to stay for homeroom until it is received. Quotes are needed from: Colton, Dane and Jo

 

-Cheerleaders from this year and anyone interested in cheering next year, please meet during homeroom tomorrow in Mrs. Peitz's room

 

-Remember to order your yearbook....$15 for seniors and $25 for everyone else. See Mrs. Peitz or a yearbook staff member. Deadline is May 19.

-Anyone interested in taking Driver’s Ed this summer, the deadline to get your registration in is this Friday.

 

-There will be a Booster Club Meeting this Sunday at the Hard Patch.

Field Events:

High Jump- Ty Opfer and Cam Carl tied for 6th place with a jump of 5-8, Brayden Lammers placed 4th with a jump of 5-10

Pole Vault- Logan Kneifl placed 6th with a vault of 9-0, Ty placed 3rd with a vault of 10-6, and Jason Heimes placed 2nd with a vault of 11-0

Long Jump- Mason Krause placed 1st with a jump of 20-00

Running Events: 

100 Meter Dash- Maximus McCray placed 2nd with a PR time of 12.06

200 Meter Dash- Aiden Walter placed 1st with a time of 24.13

1600 Meter Run- Dylan Heikes placed 6th with a time of 6:01.18 and Issac Santiago placed 1st with a time of 5:14.03

3200 Meter Run- Axel Sudbeck placed 5th with a time of 12:59.24 and Aidan Anderson placed 2nd with a time of 11:57.94

110 Hurdles- Nathan Heimes placed 4th with a time of 19.44 and Cam Carl placed 2nd with a time of 18.21

300 Hurdles- Nathan Heimes placed 4th with a time of 48.75 and Cam Carl placed 3rd with a time of 48.35

4x100 Relay- The team placed 1st and set a new meet record with a time of 44.46, the team consisted of Maximus McCray, Mason Krause, Aiden Walter, and Will Feilmeier

4x400 Relay- The team placed 1st with a time of 3:50.06, the team consisted of Aiden Walter, Nathan Heimes, Jason Heimes, and Issac Santiago

4x800 Relay- The team placed 2nd with a time of 9:39.56, the team consisted of Gabe Sovereign, Brayden Lammers, Logan Kneifl, and Aidan Anderson

Overall, the HNS Boys Track team placed 1st as a team with 119 points. Go Wildcats!

 

-Congratulations to the Lady Wildcats Track Team for their First place finish at yesterday's Summerland Invitational. We are super proud of these girls for all of their efforts! 26 Medals Earned Yesterday!
