BEEMER, Neb. — Hartington-Newcastle swept the team cross country titles at Thursday’s Wisner-Pilger Invitational, at Indian Trails Golf Club in Beemer.

On the boys’ side, the Wildcats had a team score of 45, highlighted by the top two finishers. Brian Santiago cruised to the individual title in a time of 17:27.7, more than a minute ahead of teammate Seth Wiebelhaus (18:53.5).

In the girls’ division, Hartington-Newcastle easily captured the team title with 15 points, followed by Humphrey St. Francis with 44 points.

For Hartington-Newcastle, Allie Rosener was second (21:35.7), Jayda Bernecker was fifth (23:21.5), Sara Burbach was sixth (23:24.8) and Sara Reifenrath finished 10th (23:55.9).
