Announcements:

A reminder to seniors from Mr. Kneifl. Please check your school email for updates concerning scholarship opportunities. Please remember to check your emails for this throughout the 4th quarter. 

The rep from Northeast Community College will be here Thursday, March 14th at 9:00. Please see Mr. Kneifl for a sign-out sheet if you wish to visit with this rep.

Baseball registrations forms for grades 7-12 can be picked up at the central office.

Post Prom forms are at the office.  These are due March 15.

Outside date forms for prom are also at the office.  Please get a copy and return it as soon as possible.

John Baylor Test prep for juniors is today!  It will be held in 6th and 8th Period American History.

Today is the start of the 4th Quarter.  A few reminders on items that we’ve not talked much about since the start of the year……………

#1 – No outside drinks come into the building except water.  Drink your Elsie’s before you get here.  #2 – Cell phones can only be used in a classroom if the teacher allows it.  Leave them put away in the hallways, the commons, and the locker rooms.  

#3 – Get your ear buds out when you are in the hallways.  

#4 – It’s permissible to wear shorts again.  Make sure they are plenty long if you wear them, and make sure you cover your entire stomach area and shoulders with your choice of shirt.  You will be asked to cover up or change if this needs to be addressed.

7th-12th grade Jazz Band & Jazz Choir members.  Please bring $12.50 to prepay for you meal next Tuesday.  If you are brining a check, please make it out to HNS. 

Congratulations to the HNS Speech Team on winning the C2-3 district championship yesterday in Hartington.  HNS scored 340 points to take first.  Ponca was runner-up with 130 points.

HNS sent 19 entries to finals yesterday and had 18 state qualifiers.   The top three in each event qualify for the state meet next Thursday, March 21 in Kearney.
