- Taylor Rogers and Kalli Breen need to turn in your Krispy Kreme order forms as soon as possible!!

- Hot 93.1 FM Quiz Bowl continues today for Hartington-Newcastle.  They will be on the air at 1:30 p.m.  Please dismiss the following students to the office at 1:20 p.m.:  Willa Scoville, Shaye Morten, & Abbe Morten

 

-Cedar Track Invite tomorrow starting at 1:00. Dismiss the team at 11:30 so they can eat before they leave. Team bus will leave at noon.

-Track Sheets are due today.  Sign them and return them to the envelope on the track bulletin board.   You will not attend tomorrow's track meet if these are not turned in. 

- Attention juniors & seniors! The rep from the University of Nebraska @ Kearney will be here Wednesday at 10:00. Please see Mr. Kneifl for a sign-out sheet if you wish to visit with this rep.

-There will be a Junior Class Meeting today during homeroom in Mrs. Peitz’s room.

 

-Congratulations to Riley Krause for qualifying for the State Geography Bee. She will go to UNO in Omaha on Friday to compete.

 

- Congratulations to the HNS Speech Team--2019 Class C2 State Champions!  HNS sent 10 of 11 entries to finals at the state meet in Kearney on Friday to score 162 points to win the championship.  Tri-County and Crofton tied for runner-up honors with 64 points.

HNS had one event state champion, the OID team of Isaac Bruning, Parker Hopping, Reece Morten, Teagan Scoggan, and Bennet Sievers

 

Other state medalists were:

Entertainment - Sam Harms, 2nd

Humorous Prose - Shaye Morten, 2nd

Informative - Willa Scoville, 2nd

Persuasive - Brianna Hopping, 4th

Poetry - Brianna Hopping, 3rd

Serious Prose - Autumn Lammers, 6th

Duet - Dylan Dendinger and Isaac Bruning, 2nd, Belle Harms and Abbe Morten, 5th

Thank you to the speech team for your hard work all season long.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the year.  Thank you to Mr. Uldrich for driving us to Kearney.

 

There will be a reception with selected performances to honor the speech team tonight at 7 p.m. in the commons.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Speech team members should be here by 6:45, dressed up and with your state medals. 

 

-Dress-Up Dinner is Wednesday.

 

-Spring Pictures will be taken on Thursday.

 

-There will be a FFA State Convention Meeting on Thursday at night at 7.

 

-Spring Blood drive will be Monday, April 1. You can sign up at the central office.
