Announcements:

-One-Act Play will be performed for the students today. Elementary’s performance is at 2:00, High School’s performance is at 3:00.

 

-One act cast and crew members.  You are dismissed to get ready for the play at the end of 5th period.  Cast members please go downstairs.  Crew members please report to the gym

 

-There will be a Student Council Meeting in the Commons on Thursday during Homeroom.

 

-Anyone wanting to go out for High School Wrestling, there will be a meeting tomorrow at 4pm over at Cedar.

 

-The following students will represent Hartington-Newcastle at the Lewis & Clark Conference Quiz Bowl tomorrow.  They will leave with Mrs. Stratman at 7:30 a.m. that morning. Lincoln McPhillips, Willa Scoville, Abbe Morten, Shaye Morten, Kayden Jueden, Isaac Bruning, Erin Meisenheimer, Bennet Sievers

 

-The Fall Blood Drive is Next Monday, sign up is in the office for anyone who is interested in donating blood. Please sign up before the end of the week. 

-Seniors you may start to bring in your baby/toddler pictures for the yearbook.  Images will be scanned and returned to you.  If you have your senior pictures chosen please e-mail a digital copy to Mrs. Pedersen, Liby or Gina. You may send one for the yearbook and one for the slide show if you choose.

 

-Saturday, 10/28/18 the HS Travel Men’s bowling team went to Wayne, NE

For a dual bowling meet with some Class C schools to fill out the year end schedule. Hartington had bowled against these two teams for many years before going to Class B. So only 4 bowlers for individual & Bakers instead of the 5.

 

1st meet @ 11:00 am was against Plainview.

Hartington won the meet 17 pts to 4.

Team bowlers and scores:  Wyatt Wiebelhaus, 134 and p/u 3-10 split,

Sadie Uhing 144, Aiden Gratzfeld, Logan Buschkamp 161, 181 also picking up 2-4-10 split,

Tomas Kathol, 144, 178, Colin Potts, 178 with 3- XXX’s in a row, Clarissa Paltz, 136.

 

2nd meet @ 1:30 am was against Wisner/Pilger.

Hartington won this meet also 12 pts to 7.

The two teams were tied 7 pts to 7 pts after the individual games so the Baker’s format would decide the winner.   The Bakers was pushed to the 3rd game in which Hartington won so the 5 pts was earned to get the win the meet with the 12 pts total.

District Bowling meet:  Sunday, 11/18/18 at Wayne @ 12:00 noon.

Top 6 teams go to State.   Vs:  Adams Central, GINW, Hartington Coop, Holdrege, Seward, Waverly, Wayne & York.

 

State Bowling Tournament:  Sat. 12/8 with finals on Sunday 12/9 @ Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln NE

 

Coaches:  Mike Emanuel & Nate Holan
