BLOOMFIELD, Neb. — The Bloomfield-Wausa girls and Hartington-Newcastle boys both swept team honors at Friday’s Bloomfield Cross Country Invitational, which also doubled as the Lewis & Clark Conference Meet.

In the girls’ division, Bloomfield-Wausa was the only conference team and the Queen Bees scored 10 points. Bree Eisenhauer finished second in a time of 21:03, followed by teammates Ann Woockman in fourth (22:06), Hannah Hubers in seventh (22:31), Ella McFarland in eighth (22:41) and Emily Woockman in 10th place (23:12).

In the boys’ division, Hartington-Newcastle won the Bloomfield Invitational title with 22 points, two points better than Osmond. Hartington-Newcastle then won the Lewis & Clark Conference title with 21 points, also two points in front of Osmond.

The Hartington-Newcastle tandem of Brayden Kathol (18:12) and Dagen Joachimsen (18:12) finished 1-2, respectively, while Bode Noecker was sixth (18:59).
