-There will be a Student Council Meeting today during homeroom in the Commons.

-There will be a NHS meeting today at 3:15 in Mr. Hagen’s room.

There will be no Circle of Friends meeting today! We will meet behind the school on Sunday, November 19th at 11:00am to go to Sioux Falls. If you are unable to attend, you must contact Mrs. Sudbeck ASAP!!

- Congratulations to the HNS one-act cast and crew, 2017 conference champs!  Congratulations to Sam Harms for being named 1 of 2 outstanding male performers and to Alexa Lammers for being named 1 of 2 outstanding female performers.  Congratulations to the following students for earning outstanding performance certificates:  Sam Harms, Alexa Lammers, Shaye Morten, Isaac Bruning, Dylan Dendinger, and Karli McCain.  Great job yesterday cast and crew.  Please check the bulletin board for information about those people who will need to practice tomorrow evening.

-Congratulations to the following volleyball girls on earning All-Conference Honors: 1st team honors go to: Liby Lange, Kayden Jueden & Abbe Morten; Honorable Mention honors go to Belle Harms

- A reminder that "Big Cat/Little Cat" begins today. The following students are scheduled at this time to go to Newcastle and should be ready to leave for Newcastle at 12:30. Alexa Lammers, Danny Fischer, Ellie Stencil, Belle Harms, Liby Lange, & Dan Navarro.

The following student should be dismissed at 2:55 for 6th Grade Big Cat/Little Cat. Ethan Koch, Willa Scoville, Lincoln, McPhillips, & Karli McCain.

All student who have Big Cat/Little Cat today should meet Mr. Kneifl in the Commons.

- The following Juniors need to stop by Mrs. Pedersen's or Mrs. Peitz's room today to sign up for prom committees: Katelyn Hoesing, Grace Jansen, Ethan Lammers, and Ellie Stencel

- FFA Degree Night is tomorrow night at 7 pm in the HNPS Commons. All Members are required to attend in Official dress. 

-This Week is American Education Week!

Tomorrow is: Career Day – Dress as Your Future Career

Friday is: Kick Off your Career with Education – Wear your Favorite Football Team Jersey. Friday Afternoon Presentation is Former Cornhusker Football Player Demoine Adams. Elementary at 1:30 and Jr. High and High School at 2:30


-The answers and winners for yesterday’s trivia questions were:

1 – Who is the mother of a Cedar County rodeo Queen and loves to collect positive quotes? Answer is Donna Davey – no winner

2- My sister cut the tip of one of my fingers off in the bathroom door when I was a year old. Now I have a finger shorter than all the rest. Answer is LuAnn Lange – winner is Ethan Lammers

3- Who was a badminton champion one year in high school and once got a hat trick in one of their college soccer games. Answer is Mrs. Schutt – no winner


-The questions for today’s trivia contest are:

1- Who toured Italy, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic with their college choir?

2- Who is “double-jointed” in three places and spent 3 years giving campus tours at college?

3- Who was the on-air morning newscaster for KV91 radio station for two years?

Put your answers in the jar on the front counter of the office by 1:00.
