-There will be a National Honor Society Meeting today during Homeroom

-Happy Feet for grades 4-6 and after school STEM program for grades 1-3 meet on Monday nights and are looking for 7-12th grade volunteers. If you are interested in helping out, please see Mrs. Edwards.

-The HNS speech team took 7th out of 23 schools at Saturday’s Wayne High/Wayne State Classic on Saturday.  The top 18 in each event earned medals.  Medal winners were:

Humorous Prose—Carsen Hopping, 4th, Shaye Morten, 7th

Persuasive—Brianna Hopping, 6th

Poetry—Brianna Hopping, 6th

Serious Prose—Reece Morten, 14th

Duet—Isaac Bruning and Dylan Dendinger, 14th, Kayden Jueden and Abbe Morten, 15th

OID—Dylan Dendinger, Sam Harms, Abbe Morten, and Shaye Morten, 4th

Turner Dendinger, Carsen Hopping, Jude Krie, and Alivia Morten, 10th

The next meet for HNS is Saturday at the Wausa Invite, which due to construction at the Wausa School, will be held in Osmond this year.

 

-A reminder that the "Big Cat/Little Cat" activity for today is scheduled for Grade 5-Mr. Hilker's class. Tomorrow's activity is for Grade 3 and Mrs. Katrina Kathol's class. In addition to this all juniors and seniors need to check their e-mail daily for possible "Big Cat" reminders as well as for other information such as scholarship reminders.

 

-FCCLA week has started! There will be a FCCLA logo hidden somewhere between the office and the end of the high school side each day this week. If you find it, bring it to Ms. Mecseji to receive your prize! 

The FCCLA members have prepared a trivia question for you each day this week. When you have the answer, write it down on a piece of paper and put it into the jar outside of the office! Prizes will be given the following day. Today's trivia question is: What year was FCCLA founded? 

 

-Dress-Up days for FCCLA Week are:

Today: Camo Day

Tomorrow: Pajama Day

Wednesday: Meme Day – dress up as your favorite meme

Thursday: Rainbow Day – Teachers wear blue; 11th & 12th wear yellow; 9th & 10th wear Green and Jr. High wear Red

Friday: Wild(cat) Day – Dress as a cat or in purple or both

 

-HS Basketball tomorrow at Wausa. JV Boys at 5:00 for 3 quarters

Varsity Girls at 6:15 with Varsity boys to follow. Team bus will leave at 4:00

 

-Anyone interested in a job at the swimming pool this summer can pick up an application at the central office.

-No Limits Applications for the Kick Butts Day Rally in Lincoln on March 17 and 18 are outside the central office and must be turned in to Nurse Freeman BEFORE February 12. 

-The art room is still missing a MacBook from the mobile cart.  Please if you have borrowed it return it immediately! Thank you!
