Hartington Sweeps L&C Cross Country Championships

Hartington swept the team titles at the Lewis & Clark Conference cross country meet, held on Monday at Rolling Hills Country Club.

In the boys’ race, Hartington’s Brian Santiago and Seth Wiebelhaus finished 1-2, leading a squad that put six runners in the top 15 to beat out Winnebago 18-46. Santiago won in 16:54, followed by Wiebelhaus (17:49) and Winnebago’s D’Von La Pointe (18:07).

The Hartington girls beat out Bloomfield-Wausa 13-24, putting four runners in the top five. Hartington’s Allie Rosener won in 21:05, beating out Bloomfield-Wausa’s Bree Eisenhauer (21:31). Hartington’s Sara Burbach (21:32), Sara Reifenrath (21:58) and Jayda Bernecker (22:02) rounded out the top five.
